"Then took Mary a pound of ointment of lavender, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the odor of the ointment." ~Luke~
To enjoy the fragrant fields of lavender and listen to the humming of bees is therapeutic for the heart and to the body. To wander amongst the rows and savor the experience of it all is pure delight. Karen, hostess extraordinaire, graciously greets guests to the Blue Mountain Lavender Farm and welcomes them to pick the fragrant blossoms or sit for a spell on a shady porch overlooking the fields. Cold water and lavender lemonade are deliciously ready for sampling. Classes in wreath, wand, and basket-making are available for those who wish to linger and enjoy learning the craft. Although 'doing' a craft sounds appealing and fun, just 'being' in the midst of all the beauty and fragrance of the fields soothes the soul.
Thank you, Karen, for your gracious hospitality! I will be sharing more pictures soon. . .
